The purpose of the guidelines is to ensure developers and neighbors communicate with one another when an affordable housing development is going into a neighborhood. Speak Up Austin - The purpose of the listening forum is to gather input on a set of Good Neighbor Guidelines for all housing developments supported with local and federal funding through the City of Austin Neighborhood Housing and Community Development Office. The guidelines are intended to address issues of mutual interest to neighbors, tenants, developers and other community stakeholders.
