HMIS/ServicePoint Training

Welcome to ECHO HMIS training page for ServicePoint. On this training page you will be able to access training material for basic ServicePoint functions, HUD policies, and much more. If you are a new agency interested in joining ServicePoint you can enter a help desk ticket here to contact our HMIS director for details.

If you are a new user at an existing agency you will be required to attend a new user training as well as complete some additional agency specific training before you get started.

New User training

New User Training is designed for staff members who will need to start using ServicePoint. This training is required of all new ServicePoint users before access to the protected ServicePoint website. This training will cover history, importance of data, ethics, and basic ServicePoint overview.  Once this New User training is complete new users will be required to complete their agency specific training as well.

All new user training’s are from 9am-4pm at 300 E Highland Mall Blvd, Suite 200 Austin TX 78752

Each training date can hold up to 10 people. Once the class is full the training will be removed. We have extra training dates available during the month to use if both training have been filled.

Agency Admin training

Agency admin training is required of all current or new ServicePoint users who are stepping up into the role of Agency Admin. The agency admin at each agency is our point of contact at each agency in regards to ServicePoint and is required to submit certain reports to our HMIS team each month, train new users in agency specific ServicePoint workflow, and attend an HMIS work group meeting on the third Friday of every month. The Agency Admin must go through a New User training prior to completing an Agency Admin training. If you have any questions in regards to becoming an Agency Admin please fill out an Help Desk ticket and out HMIS support team will get back with you asap.

  • Additional training dates will be added as necessary when a new Agency Admin comes on board.
